| Description | Hello. This is a bit of a story. My cat Jacques has almost always been indoor/outdoor, but a few years ago he stopped coming home after being chased from the property by a territorial calico who lived here for a time. I’ve tried to bring him back, but he’s so skittish outside that I was never able to catch him. Leaving food or things with his scent out for him never worked.
Indoors, he was the sweetest boy—I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old and he’s a truly wonderful cat. Over the years, I've tried to accept that he isn't coming home again. I sometimes still spot him on Albee between Harris and Henderson in Eureka, but I haven’t seen him in weeks and I’m feeling increasingly worried.
Today, September 2nd, is his 13th birthday, and all I want is to know he’s safe and cared for. Jacques is microchipped. He’s a short-haired tuxedo with a white-tipped tail.
If no one is looking after him, I’d be so grateful for help catching him so I can get him to the vet. If someone has taken him in, I would just love to know he’s okay.
