Description | April is a very shy spayed cat that I have had since she was about three months old, She was part of a large cat colony that I took care of for about two years. She is timid and very loving but a homebody, She spends 90% of the time indoors, but enjoys sunning herself on our back porch, which is not more then ten feet from our kitchen. On Wednesday, July 20th, I fed her about 7:30 am, and my husband saw her last sometime between 2:00 pm, -3:30 when he fed her again, inside the house. ( She has eight other feline family members including her brother who is missing her!) when my husband picked me up from work and we got home about 6;00 pm, she was nowhere to be found which is very out of character. We searched indoors and in the yard. That night another cat was out of character and slept with me all night close to my head.. The next day at about 4:10 pm, was the earthquake here in Eureka.. My husband said one of our other cats, began running around the bedroom about ten minutes before it hit… I have since read that animals including cats can often sense a earthquake before it happens, minutes, to even days or weeks before it happens and sometimes they run to “hide” from it.. I am hoping she is just hiding and someone will see her or she will come out from hiding. She has no collar on. She is about 9 1/2 pds as I just weighed several of our cats the week before. We are very worried about her. Last seen on West Harris and Oregon streets. She has never left our yard in nine years! She just vanished………. |
